A tenant may lease the membership of their landlord. Otherwise, leasing is not permitted. Also, if leased, the landlord may not use the facilities. If you are going to rent your property and plan to give rentors the membership please send an email to membership@pinecrest20171.com to ensure their name is put on as the user of the facility. Failure to do so will mean that your rentor will not be allowed in the club as their name will not be in our database.

You can buy a one-season ‘nanny pass’ for $75. The nanny pass allows the nanny/au pair to use the facilities, with or without a corresponding family member, for one season. Alternatively, you may buy one or more guest passes ($30 for ten visits). With the guest pass, the nanny/au pair must be accompanied by you or your children. Guest passes can carry over to future years, whereas a nanny pass cannot carry over. Checks should be mailed to the Club’s PO Box. If buying a nanny pass, you must also provide the following information with your check: your membership number, the person’s name and the person’s birthdate.

The membership is property, just like any other jointly owned property. Unless co-habitating, divorced parties cannot both share the same membership. That is, if the membership is in both names, the certificate should be reissued in the name of the party retaining ownership. Ideally, both parties should sign the original certificate over to the party keeping the membership. If a new certificate is desired, send an email to membership@pinecrest20171.com. A new certificate will then be issued in the name of the retaining party in exchange for either a) the old certificate with signatures of both original owners; or b) a letter signed by both original owners indicating the membership is lost and that ownership is transferring to a single party. If the parties cannot agree about ownership, then ownership should be addressed in the divorce property settlement. Upon presentation of a property settlement decree or other evidence, a new certificate will be issued in the name of the retaining party. The Club’s policy is that the membership shall become the sole property of the member continuing to reside in the address on record with the Club.

Send an email to membership@pinecrest20171.com that identifies your membership # and that indicates your desire to sell.  After an exchange of information, a check will be ordered and a time will be scheduled to exchange the check for a) your tennis access card; and b) your membership certificate.  The back of the certificate should include the following inscription:  “We hereby sell our membership back to the club for due consideration.”  Both co-owners sign and date.  (If only one owner, edit accordingly.)  If the membership certificate is lost, you will provide a letter that includes a) a statement that the certificate is lost; and b) the inscription above.  If the tennis access card is lost, you will be charged a $35 lost card fee.  Please also note the bylaws regarding the Club’s ability to refuse to purchase a membership.

If you sell before the due date for the dues, the answer is yes.  If you sell after the due date for the dues, the answer is probably no.  The club will try to obtain a prorated amount of dues from the new buyer, but cannot guarantee such an outcome.  Any dues collected from a new buyer will be returned to you after the sale.   You will not be refunded any late fees.

No, the Club will not refund your dues.  You should include any paid dues/late fees in your private sales price.  Also, if you paid your dues/late fees, your buyer does not need to pay them again.

If you sell privately before the due date for the dues, your buyer will be responsible for the dues.  If your private sale occurs after the due date for the dues, you are responsible for the dues and late fees.  You may include the dues in your sales price, and then remit the dues (and any late fees) to the club.  Or you may arrange for your buyer to pay the dues (and any late fees) .  Either way, your private sale will not be recognized until the dues (and any late fees) are received by the Club from either you or your buyer.
